 Dream Vacations/Timely Adventures and Travel

We'll be using Dream Vacations/Timely Adventures and Travel to book our rooms. We strongly recommend that you use our travel agency/consultant when booking your travel arrangements for our wedding event--as we have worked hard to put together the most cost-efficient options for our guests!

LeisureCare

If you're interested, you may purchase LeisureCare Travel Insurance/Protection plans offered by Dream Vacations/Timely Adventures and Travel. While it is optional, it is highly recommended that you purchase travel insurance at the same time you make your non-refundable deposit so you are fully protected. Life happens and it's better to be protected for peace of mind. Please contact our travel Consultant Renee regarding the 2 types of travel/protection plans. The price of each plan is based on your total trip costs. Renee can also email you the PDF brochures of the two types of plans for your review just in case you cannot reach Renee.

Passports are REQUIRED for travel to the Dominican Republic. Current processing time is 8-10 weeks.

Tourist Cards

Many people have inquired about the necessity of purchasing a Tourist Card at the Dominican Republic Airport…Starting April 25, 2018, the cost of the tourist card will be included in airline tickets and you will no longer need to purchase one separately.

Airfare - Book on Your Own

You may book flights on your own and according to our travel consultant Renee, Please verify that the names match your Passport EXACTLY! Currently, you will not be able purchase a flight for October 2019. However, flights for that travel period should open up by the early Winter 2018.

 


Airport Transfers

Dream Vacations/Timely Adventures and Travel offers Shared Roundtrip Airport Transfers from the airport to the resort and back to the airport. These can be purchased from our travel consultant Renee for $32.00 per person. You can sign up when paying your deposit or you can decide to purchase later. If you decide to purchase later, please do so with our consultant Renee prior to your travel.

Tips

Tip #1: Passports are needed! Be sure to get your passport or renew it if it’s up for expiration.

  • Don’t wait until the last minute.
  • Passports MUST be valid for six months from your Date of Return!

Tip #2: Pack your swimwear, sunscreen, sunglasses, camera, walking shoes, light clothing, and any medications.

Tip #3: Average Temperatures in Punta Cana for October range from a high of 86.9* to a low of 74.5*.

Tip #4: Average Precipitation in Punta Cana for October is 5.99 inches. Rain showers are short.

Tip #5: All calls to the US are free from your room. Be sure to follow the directions on how to do so.

Tip #6: Use your left-over resort credits to clean your clothes before leaving.

Tip #7: As soon as you check in go over to the PR info services and get the list of activities for the day.

  • Request for them to send this to your room each morning.

Tip #8: Be sure to also ask what nights the shows will be.

Tip #9: Get a list of what hours the restaurants are open. 

Tip #10: Request a map of the Resort.

Tip #11: Bring Cash for tips and souvenirs.
