Q: When do I have to make a final decision by if I want to attend?

A: For Best Pricing, you want to confirm your room and pay your non-refundable deposit as soon as possible.

Keep in mind that our current rates are limited to the select number of rooms we reserved. If you book after room inventory is sold out, we will need to submit a request for additional rooms (potentially at higher rates) for persons signing up. Remember, the longer you wait to sign up, the greater the potential for rooms not being available when you decide to book.

Q: Is the deposit per room or per person?

A: The non-refundable deposit is $200.00 per person. You must submit $200.00 for each person in the room. This includes children who are 2-17 years old.

Q: When is the deposit due?

A: Deposits are due at the time of room reservation. The earlier you reserve the better chance that out room block will have availability at our contracted group rates.

Q: How is my deposit used?

A: Your $200.00/person non-refundable deposit reserves your room at the resort. It is also applied to your total room balance.

Q: When does the room have to be paid off by?

A: Your room MUST be paid in full by Friday, June 28, 2019.

Q: What if my room is not 50% paid off by April 30, 2019?

A: Your room MUST be 50% paid by Tuesday, April 30, 2019, or you will lose any monies you have put down.

Q: Can I be refunded my money if I cancel?

A: For a breakdown of deadlines to meet regarding cancellation & refunds, please refer to the Refunds /Cancellations Section of this website.

Q: What if I cancel my room AFTER Final Payment Due Date (June 28, 2019)?

A: You will forfeit all money you paid at that point. If you purchased travel protection insurance when you first signed up for the trip and are cancelling for a qualified condition, you would have to file a claim with LeisureCare Trip Insurance and go through that process.

Q: Is it All-Inclusive? What does the price include?

A: YES!!! The resort is ALL-INCLUSIVE! This means the price you pay to stay on the resort covers: breakfast, lunch, dinner, unlimited snacks, unlimited alcohol (beer/liquor/wine), juice, & soda. Also, included is 5-star accommodations, dining in 9 restaurants, 23 bars/lounges, 10+ pools w/ pool service, nightly entertainment, live entertainment, daily activities, liquor dispenser in your room, unlimited phone calls to the U.S., free parking, complimentary Wi-Fi throughout property, fitness center w/ instructors, land sports, 24/7 room service, and your gratuities!

Q: Is airfare included?

A: No. Airfare is not included in the rates listed. You must purchase your flights separately. Currently, there are no airlines offering flights for travel in October 2019. Flights for October 2019 should open up during early Winter 2018. There are no discounts available for airfare even if you travel in a group. If you would like assistance with booking a flight, you may contact our consultant Renee.

Q: What is a Tourist Card?

A: Prior to April 25, 2018, all travelers visiting the Dominican Republic for tourism purposes only, were required to purchase a Tourist Card. This $10 entry fee was charged to all adults and children (including babies) who visited.

After April 25, 2018, the cost of the tourist card will be included in airline tickets and you will no longer need to purchase one separately.

You must also present a valid passport when entering the Dominican Republic. You will need one blank page in your passport book for a stamp and it must be valid for 6 months after your date of return.

Q: Is travel protection required?

A: No, but it is highly encouraged. Life happens, and it pays to be protected. Please contact our Consultant Renee if you're interested. There are 2 plan types: Classic & Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR). We can email you the brochures so that you can further review them, or you may call our travel consultant Renee at (970) 217-1005.

Q: Are children welcomed?

A: YES! Children are more than welcome to attend! The resort is family friendly and so are we!

Q: Do we have to stay for the whole week?

A: No. A minimum of 3 nights is required. You can stay any 3 or more nights from October 1-10th but remember the wedding ceremony is Saturday, October 5th at 4:00pm so plan your travel dates around that date.

For example, if you're only going to travel for 3-nights and you check-in on Wednesday, October 2nd, you will miss the ceremony because you will be required to check-out on Saturday, October 5th which is the day of our event.

If you only plan to travel for 3 nights, then choose a check-in date of Thursday, October 3rd or Friday, October 4th.

Q: How long can we stay?

A: You can stay up to a maximum of 9 nights. Our current group rates are locked in from Tuesday, October 1st thru Thursday, October 10, 2019.

Q: When is Brooke & Joshua checking-in?

A: We will check-in on Wednesday, October 2nd and check-out on Saturday, October 12th.

Q: Is the wedding on the beach?

A: Yes! As long as the weather cooperates we'll be outdoors! So be ready to kick off your shoes! If the weather does not permit us to have an outdoor ceremony, it will be moved indoors. The reception may take place outdoors on a terrace or indoors in one of the ballrooms.

Q: What is the difference in the rooms/suites?

A: Honestly, most of the rooms are comparable when it comes to décor, etc. However, price, room size, and location on the resort play a role. Some rooms come with a few extra perks such as private check-in, a complimentary beach bag, etc. Contact Renee for more details.

However, ALL rooms include the Double Hydro Spa Tub, bathrobes/slippers, liquor dispenser, mini bar, 24-hour room service, LCD TV, Free wireless internet, safe, balcony, unlimited calls to the U.S., ironing board, blow dryer, & Rock Spa Bath amenities. Please click "more details" button when looking at each room on their website:http://www.hardrockhotelpuntacana.com/rooms-and-suites.htm

Q: What is the resort dress code? Attire for restaurants? How about the wedding day?

A: Please see below:

Resort Attire:

  • Beach Side Casual:

    • Shorts, capri pants, skirts, and sneakers, sandals, or flip-flops.

    • Guests must wear a bathing suit wrap or cover-up and shirt at all times.

  • Resort Casual:

    • Men - Long pants, jeans, dress shorts, and collar shirt or polo shirt for men. Shoes, tennis shoes or dress sandals.

    • Women - Blouses, skirts, slacks or dresses, dress shoes or dress sandal. No sleeveless shirts or flip-flops allowed. No bathing suits allowed.

  • Special events and dinners:

    • May require more formal attire.

Wedding Ceremony/Reception: Semi-Formal Attire just as you would wear when attending any other wedding. However, remember you're on an island, you will be on the beach and it will be hot! We will be on the beach for the ceremony and the reception will be held indoors. Please, no denim (jeans) and no casual sundresses.

Q: Is Punta Cana safe?

A: It's as safe as any other place you would travel to! With all places, especially overseas, common sense is required! Don't travel alone or walk the beach alone at night. Be aware of your surroundings. The resort is only open to guests staying there. However, there is a nightclub on site that is open to locals and other tourists coming from other resorts. Punta Cana is considered the tourist area of the Dominican Republic. Do your research.

Q: Do I have to tip?

A: Your gratuities are included in the price. However, with that being said, tipping is not required but appreciated. From our personal experience with traveling and from reviews we read, when you tip they remember you and will take care of you. Here is a statement I found online for tipping in DR...

  • "Tipping is very appreciated in the DR, as wages are very low. A dollar to them means a lot. Guests can leave small items and usually $1 or $2 U.S. dollars each morning on the pillows for the maids and just add a little note to let them know that it is for them. Also, tip at the bars once a day and for the restaurants make sure your waiter gets a tip because they in most cases really do try to please. The amount could be the same as in the States (10-20%) or less if the service is really, really bad. They make very little money each month and a couple of dollars sure goes a long way if everybody does this, and not to mention it shows tourists' appreciation."
