Bride

Originally from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, this fine young lady moved to the states at the young age of lucky #3 and has been a New Yorker since.  When the Ramos clan moved to New York in 1985, they chose to first reside in the lovely city of Glen Cove, NY.  It was here that a young Itzy would soon start being molded into the magical person she is today.  Glen Cove first exposed Itzy to many things that life has to offer, including but not limited to baseball, beaches, great friends and rap.  Yes rap music, and lots of it.  For a while there, Itzy was on her way to being a little gangsta when all of a sudden her world was flipped-turned upside side down and before she knew it, she and her family had moved to East Meadow, NY.

East Meadow was nice enough but Itzy was at the very fragile age of 12ish and as it goes, was p*ssed off about the move.  She didn't want to leave the good friends she had made in Glen Cove and was afraid she wouldn't make new ones.  She was shy, you know?  And so, after making her father take her to Robert Finley Middle School in Glen Cove from East Meadow for the entire second half of 6th grade, she began the 7th grade at Woodland Middle School in East Meadow in the fall of 1994.

On her first day of school, at the top of the day, a young black tomboyish sassy girl asked Itzy if she could sit next to her in the cafeteria, to which Itzy replied "It's a free country."  They quickly became the best of friends and this girl, Jessica Griffith, would soon introduce Itzy to a couple of her closest friends, Michael Katz and Bryan Lovejoy.  This would be the start of a beautiful and longlasting friendship between all.  Who knew, one of those friendships would be the gateway to the love of Itzy's life and the relationship that brings you here today...

Groom

The details of my childhood are not nearly as relevant as Itzy's so i'll spare you. I will, however, share a framework for understanding the relationship between Itzy and I over the past 20 years.

I have literally admired Itzy since I was 9 years old. I always thought of her as some sort of mystical creature.

Once I turned 18, Itzy deemed it appropriate to begin her threats to make out with me. Actually, it was at a Trouser jam room that she so nonchalantly told me that I "better call her when I go gay". I'm pretty sure that seed was strategically planted, good work Itzy.
