On January 16, 2014, while vacationing in the Riveria Maya, Mexico, we had a lovely dinner on the beach. It was a cool evening, with a brisk breeze coming off the ocean. The stars and moon shone brightly over the waters, a sense of calm surrounding us. Fred suggested a post dinner walk on the beach, and I complained about feeling chilly, reluctantly following him down to the beach. Fred suggested investigating a cabana near by, and I accompanied him. It was dark, only having the moon provide us just enough light. We stopped inside of the cabana, shared a few kisses and giggles. With a big gulp, Fred asked me if I would be his wife. I began to cry, and tucked my face into the crook of his neck. Taken aback by my response, Fred became concerned, and asked if I was ok. Through tears and probably a few snot bubbles (I am an ugly crier) I said YES! The rest of the evening... Well, we will leave that up to your imagination!
