SWEET CHILD 'O MINE: HER STORY

Kristy Marie Minzler, daughter of Dena Petronelli & Chris Minzler, is a proud graduate of Marshall University and a Nurse Practitioner that works with hospitals throughout West Virginia on behalf of Philips Healthcare. She enjoys tropical waters, working out, and Dicarlo's Pizza in her hometown of Wheeling, WV. Kristy loves New Kids On The Block and was once the lead singer in a 90s cover band called Lovesyc!

 THE RIGHT STUFF: HIS STORY

Robert William Rosano, son of Janice & Randall Rosano, grew up playing hockey on the cranberry bogs in a small New England town just south of Boston. After graduating from Johnson & Wales University he brought his passion for music to the Clay Center, West Virginia's leading performing arts center, where he currently serves as Vice President. Rob, a diehard Boston sports fan, is still a loud & vocal supporter of the New England Patriots despite living in Pittsburgh Steelers territory!

 DON'T STOP BELIEVING: THEIR STORY 

Kristy and Rob first met at a charity gala in Spring 2016. Rob, smitten at first sight, would spend the next couple months conveniently "bumping into Kristy" during events around town. Little did Kristy know that their chance encounters were no coincidence. Kristy's close friend was playing "undercover matchmaker" and texting Rob the details of upcoming social plans.

After a couple months, and during one of these "chance encounters", Kristy sensed that Rob was about to ask her on a date. Naturally, her survival instincts kicked in as she ran to her car in the hopes that Rob wouldn't catch her. Although nimble in her high heels she was no match for Rob, who was in the midst of qualifying for the Boston Marathon. Rob went on to win her over with fried ravioli and a shared cab ride on a rainy night. Kristy eventually returned the favor by introducing Rob to her cats, Sadie & Simon. Rob had an asthma attack two hours later. Well played, Kristy.

Later, they would take road trips to Nashville to celebrate Rob's birthday with front row tickets to Guns 'n Roses, followed by Orlando where Kristy represented WV in the Miss Woman United States competition. Rob proposed on December 23, 2017, under the Christmas lights at Oglebay Resort just a few miles from Kristy's childhood home.
