Bride

From the moment we started dating, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Anthony. It was just a matter of bidding my time and finding the perfect place to pop the question.

Together we planned a trip to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios in Orlando for December 2015. I knew one of these 2 places would be the perfect place to propose to Anthony. Anthony loves anything and everything related to Disney and as passionate as we both are about Harry Potter, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter has a very special place in our hearts. I knew one of these two places would be the perfect place to propose.

After much contemplation, I chose to do it at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Anthony and I have started a collection of wands from the many characters of the Harry Potter series, so I bought him a wand that he'd been wanting to add to our collection:Draco Malfoy's wand. I placed the ring on the handle of the wand and put it back in the box. Everything was lining up nicely. I had the wand in my backpack and all I needed was the perfect time to propose. We were in Hogsmeade at Harry Potter World and I was constantly scanning the park for a perfect spot. Unfortunately, all the spots I had envisioned being the perfect backdrop for the special momet were jam packed with people. My perfect vision was ruined.

After a long day of wizarding, we left Harry Potter World and went to take a breather on the beach of the Polynesian Resort. We found ourselves on lounge chairs staring at Cinderella’s Castle  and the sun starting to set. I thought to myself “this is it, this is the spot to do it Anthony”. So, while fighting the overwhelming nerves of taking this next big step, I asked Anthony “Do you want to look at your wand before I put it up?” He said “Nah, I’ll just wait till we get back to the hotel”. With the calmest expression I could muster I said, “I really think you should look at it”. So he did.

He saw the ring and I asked him “Will you marry me?” He choked up and with tears in his eyes, he said “yes”!
