Jimmy & Nikki toured the hotel and spent some time enjoying the resort amenities. We learned what things would have been nice to have. Aside from normal items you would pack for a beach vacation, we also recommend packing the following items:
- Sunscreen! The resort charges $24 per bottle of sunscreen and after sun lotion! We made the mistake of choosing not to bring full size sunscreen so that we could avoid checking a bag and ended up spending $48 on sunscreen :(
- Empty water bottle. There are 2 liter bottles of water in the rooms, but no smaller bottled waters that are more portable and no cups. Water is served at the bars, by waiters at the pool, and by waiters on the beach but the cups are small.
- Empty tumbler w/ lid or other cup to keep drinks cool and keep stuff from getting in your cup
- Beach bag or some type of bag for the pool/beach. If you plan to go on any excursions outside of the resort you will want a bag or backpack.
The resort provides unlimited beach and pool towels. There are umbrellas available for the beach and pool chairs. There are shops in the resort if you forget basic items, but the resort charges ridiculous prices for the items. There are a few stores near the resort if you lose luggage and need clothes and/or forget items (H&M, Gap, etc).
